With influences ranging from metal and hardcore to goth and industrial, They Await's stylistically diverse songs each have a dark character all their own.
Formed in 2004 by Jamie Mai, former guitarist for Hostility (Century Media) and Gulch, They Await began as a studio project and creative outlet and has developed into a full-fledged band. Early in 2005 Spazz joined the group and added his powerful and melodic vocal talents and eclectic humor. Spazz is also a sound engineer and has produced his own solo albums over the years. Jeff Butler joins an already strong and experienced lineup taking bass guitar and sample duties. Jeff has been in successful bands opening for numerous national artists such as Chimaira, Lacuna Coil, Skinlab, Prong and others. Jeff also carries artist endorsements from Fernandes Guitars and Knucklehead Strings. Information on the drummer will be added soon.
Energized by their new line-up, They Await are currently in the studio working on new material to follow up "Moment of Eclipse" so look forward to more new songs and live performances in the near future.
